WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Focus your energy and talent on growing our business in the US while deepening your understanding of the broader North American landscape. You’ll build a plan to support our vertical strategy, then roll your sleeves up and get busy gettin’ er done! To get down to business, you’ll leverage the talents of your team and partners to increase sales and velocity across the country. The icing on the cake? You can do this work from any location in the US. This role has been designed for someone to work from anywhere whether scoping collections in Ohio, picking up a purchase in Florida or staging for the next auction at the home office location. Now for the specifics. This role will be responsible for the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent Richmond Auctions, embodying the values, behaviors, integrity, and spirit of Richmond Auctions and its products.
  • Make recommendations to increase our customer networks and business opportunities with a focus on quality to maximize yield.
  • Develop and execute annual sales plans that support the overall strategy including goals, targets and actions while working within a defined sales budget.
  • Execute that plan to reach specific growth targets (top and bottom line).
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support the sales/auction plans including Marketing, Finance and Operations.
  • Develop and/or support forecasting of all incremental sales initiatives, new platforms and our ongoing baseline business.
  • Manage to our net revenue objectives based on trade spending objectives, strategies and budgets.
  • Build, inspire, coach, direct and evaluate a team; take proactive steps to ensure the work being done aligns with strategy, is on task, and self motivated.
  • Make calls to support the identification of new business opportunities and deepening of existing customer relationships to support achievement of short and long-term goals.
  • Own and manage our strategic business relationships with our lead partners.
  • Lead key partner meetings (as needed) and business reviews as required.
  • Provide commercial guidelines, direction and oversight for our on-line auctioneer clerks and premier firearms unit and support staff within our partner network.
  • Continue to build expertise in all commercial categories to assist in developing new or expanding on existing firearm strategies.
  • Build a North American perspective on our commercial business, it’s separate business models and alignment with the overall corporate expansion strategies if/when applicable.
  • Execute commercial guideline training with internal support team as needed i.e. How to handle inventory, cleaning clinics, general education, etc. Support business reviews with management.

QUALIFICATIONS

We’re looking for a successful, seasoned sales professional that is gregarious, dynamic, outgoing, positive, and highly goal driven. Possessing exceptional communication skills, you will also require:

  • A minimum of 7 -10 years of auction experience, at least 6 of which have been in one or more of the following categories: long rifles and shot guns, pistols and handguns, antique firearms, sportsmen memorabilia
  • Demonstrated success with aquisitions and sales both through live, virtual, timed and other trending platforms.
  • Related experience selling and/or building a strong, well-recognized consumer brand (in one of the aforementioned industries).
  • Experience with the broader collectibles auction market a plus.
  • Previous experience creating and working within a structured sales plan including goal setting and budget management.
  • Previous experience recruiting, training, and managing an exceptional team.
